Garment Technologist\\n\\nBased Manchester City Centre\\n\\n£30,000 – £32,000 plus benefits\\n\\nMenswear\\n\\nThe Role:\\n\\nI am working with a rapidly expanding fashion supplier based in City Centre Manchester who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Garment Technologist to join their menswear team.\\n\\nMain Duties:\\n\\n * Working closely with merchandiser/ design teams, as well as our Product development manager on the menswear Department.\\n\\n * Creating development specs at the beginning of each season from original samples or CADS\\n\\n * Measuring samples at first fit / PP / production sample stages\\n\\n * Conducting, lead and own, live in house fit session\\n\\n * Sending comprehensive clear fit comments and amended specs to the factories, supported with clear diagrams if needed. Liaising with them on a daily basis.\\n\\n * Prioritise & balance workload to ensure shipment dates of product are met in a timely order.\\n\\n * Responsible for your own fit comments / pattern solutions and advice to factories to maintain a good quality/ standard.\\n\\n * Advise factory of basic test requirements per style ie Base / bulk / zip tests.\\n\\n * Progression and training on chemical testing requirements\\n\\n * Checking & approving Care label layouts , reading test reports\\n\\n * Action in house wash tests if necessary\\n\\n * Assessing bulk inspection reports from the China office which come through on a weekly basis. Assisting the merch team with checking factory’s final packing lists, packaging and barcode details\\n\\n * Giving commercial decisions on bulk quality issues\\n\\nSkills required:\\n\\n * Experienced in a Garment Tech role.\\n\\n * Menswear experience would be preferred but isn’t essential.\\n\\n * Microsoft office experience\\n\\n * Organized\\n\\n * Accurate with their work\\n\\n * Enthusiastic to learn,\\n\\n * Must be able to work well within a team environment\\n\\nThis is a fully office based role, although there is some flexibility surrounding actual working hours.\\n\\nApply online or for further information contact one of our specialist consultants quoting reference number: NJR15621
