Due to continued growth, my client, a supplier of consumables to the retail industry has an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Administrator to join their team in Swinton, Greater Manchester. This role is initially offered on a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of permanent employment.

Job Purpose: To provide a support function to the Inbound supply chain department and effectively manage the day-to-day administration activity as required around the planning team and holiday cover for Imports. To work in line with the business values.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To provide day to day support for the supply chain planning team in line with defined schedule of work
  • Smaller customer/supplier account management
  • Responsibility for O & Q line management (ordering/receipting)
  • Report generation
  • General order book management for wider team/support with chasing
  • Supporting on moving and booking deliveries on Imports
  • Assisting the planning team and providing holiday and sickness cover as required.
  • Ad hoc reporting and projects
  • Data analysis as required
  • Imports (Holiday Cover) - To effectively manage the day-to-day administration activity surrounding sea and air freight.

Requirements:

  • To be numerical, methodical & flexible
  • To develop & practice logistical skills
  • To have excellent communication & administration skills
  • To have experience in import/export operational procedures
  • To have a good understanding of the inbound supply chain
  • A good working knowledge of Excel, Word & Powerpoint
  • Record keeping, archiving and updating skills
