Due to continued growth, my client, a supplier of consumables to the retail industry has an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Administrator to join their team in Swinton, Greater Manchester. This role is initially offered on a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
Job Purpose: To provide a support function to the Inbound supply chain department and effectively manage the day-to-day administration activity as required around the planning team and holiday cover for Imports. To work in line with the business values.
Key Accountabilities:
- To provide day to day support for the supply chain planning team in line with defined schedule of work
- Smaller customer/supplier account management
- Responsibility for O & Q line management (ordering/receipting)
- Report generation
- General order book management for wider team/support with chasing
- Supporting on moving and booking deliveries on Imports
- Assisting the planning team and providing holiday and sickness cover as required.
- Ad hoc reporting and projects
- Data analysis as required
- Imports (Holiday Cover) - To effectively manage the day-to-day administration activity surrounding sea and air freight.
Requirements:
- To be numerical, methodical & flexible
- To develop & practice logistical skills
- To have excellent communication & administration skills
- To have experience in import/export operational procedures
- To have a good understanding of the inbound supply chain
- A good working knowledge of Excel, Word & Powerpoint
- Record keeping, archiving and updating skills
