NJR Recruitment are currently working with a well-established supplier of greetings and gifts to the retail industry, who are now seeking an experienced Shipping & Compliance Administrator to join their team in Bolton.

The Shipping & Compliance Administrator is responsible for coordinating and managing the end-to-end import process and ensuring all import documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements
The role involves managing FOB shipments, coordinating container loadings, monitoring shipment progress, processing import documentation, managing goods intake, and liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements
Maintain complete shipment records and audit trails
Manage UK & EU compliance for PPWR, EUDR, EPR, FSC etc to ensure goods are authorised to ship
Import Shipment Management
Manage and coordinate all import shipments from overseas suppliers.
Arrange and monitor FOB (Free On Board) shipments from supplier origin through to final delivery.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure cargo readiness and booking requirements are met.
Coordinate with freight forwarders to secure vessel space and shipment schedules.
Booking shipment using freight forwarder portals
Monitor shipment milestones and proactively manage delays, schedule changes, or exceptions.
Track containers from origin to destination and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Raise purchase orders on sage
Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery dates, product specifications, and documentation.
Build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
