The office is based in the \’Gold Coast\’ City of Bangor. There\’s free parking, we\’re close to the sea with a gorgeous park, and one of the best cafes in Bangor is on our doorstep.
All of the software you will use is modern, up-to-date and in the cloud, and you\’ll get full training on all of it when you join. You\’ll also get access to Client Engager (our practice management software), so there is no faffing about with spreadsheets or pieces of paper to remember things!
Your starting salary will be at least ÂŁ40,000 FTE (We are flexible on hours.)
You\’ll get 30 days of holiday (including bank holidays) in the first year, and then after that, you\’ll get additional days for each year you are with us.
You won\’t have to work every day over Christmas. We are organised enough to make sure we do all the work we can before and you\’ll get all your training costs and professional subscriptions paid for you as well.
After your probationary period, you\’ll be enrolled in our \”sickness insurance\”, so if you end up long-term sick, you\’ll get 75% of your pay for up to 2 years!

Key Responsibilities
- Client Accounts Management: Prepare and review year-end accounts, management accounts, and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Taxation: Handle VAT returns, self-assessment tax returns, corporation tax computations, and ensure all submissions comply with HMRC deadlines and regulations.
- Bookkeeping: Support clients with bookkeeping services, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and cash flow management.
- Advisory Services: Provide strategic business advice to clients, helping them with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for all their financial needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency improvements, both internally and for clients.
About You

- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA-qualified, with a strong practice background.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience working in an accountancy practice, managing multiple clients and delivering comprehensive services.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Compliance Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Client-Focused: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients.
- Organised: Comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines with accuracy.
