I'm partnered with a global prop trading firm who are seeking a Quant Developer to join a trading team in London. The role focuses on building systems and innovative trading solutions that enable the firm to enter new markets and trade new products efficiently. High impact and visibility - join a full stack, desk-aligned team touching multiple trading areas including pricing, autotrading, connectivity, post-trade and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Traders and Researchers to build automated trading strategies and pricing systems
  • Design infrastructure for connecting to new exchanges and trading venues
  • Build new trading products considering time-to-market and managing technical complexity and technical debt
  • End-to-end project ownership
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to solve technical challenges in fast-moving markets

Requirements:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals and engineering judgement
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of C#, C++, and Python (the role covers all 3)
  • Strong understanding of the trading lifecycle
  • Entrepreneurial thinking – knowing where to invest time for maximum impact
  • Experience building scalable, maintainable systems

Preferred:

  • Experience integrating proprietary systems with trading venues
  • Background in building end-to-end trading system workflows
  • Knowledge of OTC trading systems
  • Prior hedge fund or market making experience
