We are now seeking a Sales Support Merchandising Manager to lead and manage the BWI Merchandising Team. This role requires a highly organised, self-motivated individual who can work closely with the Sales Team to manage existing customers, onboard new accounts and support BWI’s ways of working within a demanding, customer-led environment. You will build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with key accounts and develop effective stakeholder relationships across multiple departments and seniority levels. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, you will help develop and drive strategic account plans across all relevant product channels to support business growth targets. Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, customer portals and ERP systems are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the BWI Merchandising Team, using data and metrics to prioritise actions and drive performance.
- Lead the team with a strong commercial focus, maximising margin wherever possible.
- Support the Sales and Senior Management teams in setting and delivering BWI’s future strategy and goals, sharing progress and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across the business, implementing new ideas and ways of working.
- Lead customer onboarding alongside Sales, promoting the full range of BWI supply models.
- Ensure consistent delivery of customer service excellence.
- Conduct monthly one-to-one reviews, coaching and development planning for all direct reports.
- Complete annual performance reviews and objective setting.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring procedures, communication and documentation are regularly reviewed.
- Manage internal and external escalations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor the open order book to ensure deliveries align with billing projections.
- Work with Sales to maximise repeat order opportunities.
- Track and improve team KPIs, including OTIF performance against customer request and agreed delivery dates.
- Authorise credit note requests.
- Work with the Head of Supply Chain to drive activity on lower-ordering accounts, maintaining relationships and promoting BWI products.
Key Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing teams within a Merchandising or Supply Chain environment, including offshore teams.
- Experience working in a KPI-driven environment.
- Proven experience implementing business process change and managing projects.
