NJ Screen Prints is based in Hinckley and is the UK’s leading volume screen printer and decorator of garments to retail and trade, with leading edge printing technology and excellent relationships with high street retailers and all the major supermarket brands. Employing around 110 staff, NJ is focussed and committed to leading edge design, quality, and customer service.

Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Embroidery Machinist who wants to be part of the journey into a new service provision to our customers. You MUST have commercial embroidery experience, ideally with MELCO single head embroidery machine or Happy machine (or similar). You will also have knowledge or previous experience in dye sublimation digital printing.

Your keen eye for detail and ability to organise and manage the workload in a fast-paced environment will be key in this role. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of a Happy machine or MELCO EMT 16X single head (or similar) machine set up, basic maintenance, and safe operation of commercial embroidery machines. A good knowledge of embroidery types and techniques would be a distinct advantage.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Framing and hooping
  • Machine set up and periodic maintenance
  • Production of high-quality samples
  • Quality control of embroidery production
  • Day to day running and operation of embroidery machines

Training can be provided on the following skills for the right candidate, but it would be a distinct advantage to have experience of:

  • Happy machine / MELCO Design Shop Professional software or similar
  • PC and / or MAC experience
  • Adobe creative software
