To deliver leading-edge technical consultancy in the areas of Power Systems Analysis and Electrical Engineering and Design. The base location will be at the office in Teesside supporting customers in the Renewables, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Utilities and Energy sectors. The role may require the occasional plant survey at both onshore and offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake, oversee and deliver high-quality detailed electrical design and engineering projects including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, data sheets and other documentation required for both LV and HV electrical equipment.
  • Using ETAP and DIgSILENT, perform Load Flow, Short Circuit Analysis and Arc Flash Studies, Risk Assessments, Harmonic Analysis, Transformer Energisation and Protection Co-ordination, Transient Stability, Transient Motor Starting Analysis and Grid Compliance Studies.
  • Always represent the company in a professional, positive, and diligent manner.
  • Attend all meetings with clients, project team, contractors etc., interacting with clients to achieve project objectives.
  • Work alongside the Engineering team in implementing continual improvement processes within the Engineering function, highlighting any issues within the team and general opportunities for improvement as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers etc.
  • Regular review and management of assigned projects from inception to completion.
  • Producing high-quality technical reports/notes; discussing and presenting findings to clients where necessary.
  • Mentoring and assisting junior Engineers, sharing technical knowledge and experience where possible.
  • Plan and supervise the work of the Engineering team to achieve project deliverables and objectives relating to quality, progress, compliance, and cost control.
  • Scoping and interpreting client requirements to prepare and deliver an effective technical solution.
  • Appreciation and understanding of relevant UK, European & International standards, legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • To have a thorough knowledge of and compliance with clients procedures.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent within the Electrical Engineering field.
  • Extensive experience in design and engineering.
  • Front End Engineering Design (FEED) experience is also preferable.
  • Engineer must be familiar with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC and other International electrical standards and best practices.
  • A proven track record of technical leadership on client type projects.
