Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their Leeds Office. This opportunity would suit an ambitious Structural Engineer with a focus on career progression, who enjoys working within a collaborative environment on exciting and varied projects across the UK. They are also seeking a Structures Graduate. This opportunity would suit either a graduate or an individual with relevant post-graduate transportation experience.
Structural Engineer – Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years post-graduation work experience, relevant degree and excellent work ethic and be able to work in the office 8.30am-5pm Mon to Fri. Site/meeting visits are part of the role and some may be overnight stays so a driver's licence is essential. Salary dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake structural analysis and detailed design for building and infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant building regulations, design standards, codes of practice and health and safety standards.
- Design input associated with preparation of technical drawings, specifications and reports.
- Carry out site inspections and liaise with contractors during construction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality engineering solutions.
- Support Senior Engineers and mentor graduate Engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Undertake engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural engineering projects.
- Be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis and design software.
- Provide technical support to include report writing and presentations.
- Willing to attend design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections (some overnight stays).
- Liaise and communicate clearly in a professional manner to colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers and to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to your work.
- Work on projects with consideration to the agreed project budgetary limits and timetables.
