An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients Passive Fire Protection team as a Fire Door Surveyor working from their Leeds office. Our Client is a leading specialist enabling works provider. They are market leaders in the asbestos removal, demolition, and land remediation industries. They have also recently added fire protection to their portfolio of services.
Role responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough fire door surveys across a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial.
- Identifying and assessing fire-stopping issues, breaches in fire barriers, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Preparing detailed reports, including recommendations for remediation and ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers to communicate findings and provide expert guidance on fire compartmentation solutions.
- Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with current fire safety regulations and building codes.
About you:
- Experience in fire door surveying is essential for this role.
- Proven experience in fire door surveys and knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., BS 9999, BS 9991, etc.).
- Familiar with survey recording software/apps/systems such as OneTrace, Boris, Bolster etc.
- Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, and fire-stopping materials.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for report writing and client interaction.
- Full UK driving license.
