Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Technical Sales Support Engineer to join the growing Lighting Controls team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in electrical systems, lighting controls or smart buildings who is looking to develop a career within a growing business.

Initially, you'll work alongside our experienced Lighting Sales team, providing day-to-day support with customer enquiries, quotations, technical documentation and project administration.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll gradually become more involved in customer interactions and technical sales activities.

Full training will be provided, although some basic understanding of lighting controls, electrical systems or DALI technology would be beneficial.

  • Key Responsibilities Working alongside the experienced Lighting Controls team, you will:
  • Support the Lighting Sales team with customer enquiries and day-to-day sales activities.
  • Assist in preparing accurate quotations for lighting control projects.
  • Use Bluebeam to review drawings and identify lighting control requirements.
  • Assist with preparing lighting control layouts and technical documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for customer projects and quotations.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors and consultants to obtain project information.
  • Help maintain customer records and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Attend customer meetings and occasional site visits with senior members of the team.
  • Develop your knowledge of DALI lighting controls, products and system design through structured training.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure enquiries are responded to promptly.

About You We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and keen to build a long-term career within the lighting controls industry.

Essential

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to learn new software and technical products.
  • Full UK driving licence. Beneficial (but not essential)
  • A basic understanding of lighting controls or DALI systems.
  • An electrical, engineering or building services background.
  • Experience reading electrical or lighting drawings.
  • Experience using Bluebeam or similar drawing software.

Full training will be provided, so we're looking for attitude and willingness to learn just as much as previous experience.
