Join a well-established Housing Association in a key role supporting the delivery of an efficient and customer-focused repairs and maintenance service.The role offers the opportunity to play an important part in ensuring repairs are scheduled and completed efficiently, helping to provide quality homes and a reliable service for residents. Youll be coordinating and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, working closely with operatives, contractors and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales. This is a busy and varied role that would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and experienced in social housing repairs planning and scheduling. Previous social housing planning experience is essential for this position. Candidates must have direct experience planning or scheduling repairs and maintenance works within a social housing environment. As a Repairs Planner, you will be:
Scheduling and coordinating responsive repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties. Managing operative and contractor diaries to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales. Monitoring outstanding repairs and proactively chasing updates. Liaising with contractors, operatives, surveyors and internal teams to resolve scheduling issues. Updating repairs and housing management systems accurately. Monitoring the progress of repairs and escalating any delays. Ensuring work orders, appointments and property records are kept up to date. Providing regular updates to relevant teams regarding the progress of repairs. Responding to changes in priorities and rearranging appointments where required. essential. Experience within social housing, housing repairs, property maintenance or a similar environment. Strong scheduling, coordination and organisational skills. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders. Good attention to detail and accurate administrative skills. Good IT skills and experience using repairs or housing management systems. NEC Housing experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise competing demands. A reliable and professional approach, with good references. Key requirements for this Repairs Planner role:
