We are recruiting on behalf of agrowing supported living organisation in Wiltshirethat specialises in providing accommodation and support toex-military veterans, helping to reduce homelessness and support residents as they transition back into civilian life. They are looking for an experiencedHousing Support Officerto join the team on an initial3-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent position as the organisation continues to grow. Key Responsibilities of a Housing Support Officer: Provide housing and tenancy-related support to residents. Support residents withHousing Benefit, Universal Credit and welfare matters. Completerisk assessments, support plans and reviews. Support tenancy sustainment and help residents maintain their accommodation. Liaise with local authorities, housing teams, benefits departments and external agencies. Identify and escalate safeguarding, welfare and tenancy concerns. Support residents towards greater independence and suitable move-on accommodation. Previous experience inhousing, supported housing, supported living, homelessness or a similar service. Experience within ahousing association or local authoritywould be advantageous. Good understanding oftenancy sustainment and housing-related support. Knowledge ofHousing Benefit, Universal Credit and welfare support. Experience completingwelfare checks, risk assessments and support plans. Experience supportingveterans or ex-military personnelwould be advantageous.
