We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established contractor carrying out void property repairs and refurbishment works to social housing properties across the Oakham area. This is an ongoing temporary role offering regular work with the opportunity to join a busy team delivering high-quality void property maintenance and refurbishment projects.

The role involves working on void social housing properties across Daventry, carrying out a range of multi-trade repairs to prepare homes to a lettable standard. We welcome applications from Multi Skilled Operatives, Multi Traders, Property Maintenance Operatives, Void Operatives, Maintenance Technicians, Carpenter Multi Traders, Plumber Multi Traders, and Repairs Operatives with experience working within social housing or domestic property maintenance.

  • Carry out a variety of repairs across multiple trades, including basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and painting & decorating.
  • Complete repairs to doors, frames, locks, kitchens, bathrooms, and internal fixtures and fittings.
  • Undertake patch plastering, wall repairs, and minor rendering where required.
  • Carry out basic plumbing repairs, including replacing taps, sinks, toilets, and pipework.
  • Complete minor carpentry works including hanging doors, fitting skirting boards, architraves, and kitchen repairs.
  • Carry out wall and floor tiling repairs as required.
  • Prepare surfaces and complete painting and decorating to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Ensure all properties are completed to the required void standard within agreed timescales.
  • Work safely and effectively while maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
  • Complete all work in accordance with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

  • To have your own van.
  • To have your own tools.
  • Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative.
  • Experience across a range of trades including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating.
  • Previous experience working on social housing void properties is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full UK driving licence.
