We are recruiting a Damp and Mould Surveyor to join a well-established social housing organisation in Kings Lynn, responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing damp and mould issues across residential properties. As a Damp and Mould Surveyor , you will carry out detailed property inspections, diagnose the causes of damp and mould, and ensure appropriate remedial works are identified and delivered to a high standard. Whats on offer: Salary: £50,186 per annum £1,500 per year car allowance 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension scheme Life assurance Perkbox discounts, perks and wellbeing offers 1 paid volunteer day £2,000 refer-a-friend bonus after the referee passes probation Performance-related bonus opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunities for professional development and career progression Damp and Mould Surveyor key responsibilities include: Carrying out detailed inspections of properties affected by damp, mould, condensation, and associated defects Identifying the underlying causes of damp and mould and recommending appropriate remedial solutions Producing accurate inspection reports, specifications, and schedules of work Liaising with residents, contractors, internal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved effectively Monitoring remedial works to ensure they are completed to the required quality, timescales, and standards Providing technical advice and guidance on damp, mould, ventilation, condensation, and building defects Ensuring all inspections and remedial works comply with relevant legislation, regulations, health & safety requirements, and organisational policies Maintaining accurate records and ensuring cases are appropriately documented and progressed Supporting the organisation in delivering excellent customer service and positive outcomes for residents The successful Damp and Mould Surveyor will have: Previous experience in a surveying or property-related role, ideally within social housing Strong knowledge of damp, mould, condensation, ventilation, and building defects Experience carrying out property inspections and producing technical reports and specifications Good understanding of housing standards, health & safety, and relevant legislation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities A relevant surveying, construction, building studies, or property qualification A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the area If you're an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor looking to join a respected social housing organisation in Kings Lynn, where you can use your technical expertise to improve residents homes and help tackle damp and mould issues, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
