We are recruiting an Interim Contract Manager for a leading Social Housing provider based in the West Midlands, supporting programmes across the local region on a 4-month contract.

What’s on offer:

  • Rate: £30-£35 per hour
  • Contract: 4-month interim assignment (potential for extension)
  • Working pattern: Full-time (36 hours)
  • Flexibility: Monday-Thursday on site and in office, Friday work from home

About the Company

Our client is a well-established Social Housing group managing a portfolio of residential properties across the West Midlands and the surrounding areas. They are committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and delivering excellent services to their tenants and communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead on all reactive maintenance issues, ensuring swift, cost-effective solutions
  • Lead on regulatory standards, compliancy and health and safety responsibilities
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with scheme-based staff, partners and tenants as their trusted senior point of contact
  • Ensure all properties comply with health & safety and legal obligations
  • Manage contractor relationships, maintaining high-quality, budget-conscious work
  • Oversee effective and efficient void works to reduce void periods and ensure our ready-to-let standard is maintained
  • Drive process improvements, draft and review key policies, helping refine and elevate service delivery
  • Provide reports on activity, progress and compliance of repairs, maintenance and health and safety against key performance indicators

The successful Contract Manager will have:

  • Strong experience within repairs, voids, planned works etc
  • Is confident working with external contractors and maintaining relationships
  • Can assess risk, challenge appropriately and provide assurance to senior stakeholders
  • Cares about resident experience and understands the importance of quality homes
  • Social housing experience
  • Similar experience in previous post
