We are looking for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to join a supported housing team, helping to maintain safe, clean and welcoming accommodation for residents across Manchester and the surrounding areas.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards across supported accommodation, including communal areas, rooms and void properties. The role involves both planned and responsive cleaning, ensuring properties are safe, hygienic and ready for new residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean communal areas, rooms and void properties to a high standard.
- Prepare empty properties for new residents.
- Remove and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Check kitchens, laundry facilities and communal areas are clean and free from hazards.
- Report repairs, maintenance issues and safeguarding concerns.
- Carry out sharps sweeps where required.
- Use an iPad and compliance systems to record and update work.
- Work professionally with residents, colleagues and contractors.
- Travel between local properties across Manchester and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will
- Have previous professional cleaning experience.
- Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be confident using an iPad and basic IT systems.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be reliable, adaptable and able to prioritise tasks.
- Understand safeguarding and be able to recognise and report concerns.
- Be comfortable working with people who may have complex needs or challenging behaviours.
- Have a caring, respectful and professional approach.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a private vehicle for work.
Whats on offer

- £25,000–£30,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

Please note:
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role. An Enhanced DBS check will also be required.
