Based within the social housing sector, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining fire safety compliance and protecting residents across a housing portfolio.
You will be working for a well-established housing organisation that values its residents, contractors and employees, with a strong focus on resident safety, compliance, attention to detail and effective partnership working.
As the Fire Safety Officer, you will be: Carrying out fire safety inspections across social housing properties.
Completing fire door inspections and identifying defects and remedial requirements.
Monitoring and managing Fire Risk Assessment actions through to completion.
Inspecting passive fire protection measures and identifying compliance issues.
Liaising with external contractors and fire safety specialists to coordinate remedial works.
Monitoring fire safety remedial works to ensure they are completed to the required standards.
Supporting audits and ensuring properties remain compliant with relevant fire safety requirements.
Working closely with housing, property and compliance teams to maintain resident safety.
Fire Safety Officer Qualifications / Experience: Experience working as a Fire Safety Officer or Building Safety Officer.
Previous social housing or residential property experience.
Knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments and remedial action management.
Strong understanding of fire safety compliance and resident safety.
Relevant fire safety qualification such as Level 3 Fire Safety or equivalent.
