We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing association for an experienced ASB Officer to join their team on an initial three-month temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional to step into a senior advisory role , providing specialist guidance on complex ASB and safeguarding cases while supporting frontline housing colleagues. You will provide specialist advice and oversight on anti-social behaviour cases, ensuring appropriate enforcement action is considered and cases are progressed effectively. You will also act as a key contact for safeguarding matters and work closely with local authorities, community safety partnerships and other agencies. The role involves a combination of office-based work, home working and visits to local estates , including regular visits to a nearby Gypsy and Traveller site. Key Responsibilities of an ASB Officer: Provide specialist advice and oversight on complex ASB cases. Advise Housing Officers and Housing Assistants on case progression and enforcement options. Support the use of appropriate legal and enforcement tools. Prepare and progress injunctions and other enforcement action. Present lower-level cases at court where required. Act as the lead contact for safeguarding matters. Liaise with local authorities, police, community safety partnerships and other agencies. Attend multi-agency meetings and partnership forums. Support colleagues on estate visits involving serious or complex ASB. Provide guidance and case discussions to frontline housing teams. Maintain accurate case records and ensure cases are progressed appropriately. Oversee housing management responsibilities associated with a local Gypsy and Traveller site, including approximately weekly visits. We are looking for someone with: Strong experience managing ASB cases within social housing . Good knowledge of ASB enforcement legislation, tools and processes. Experience with injunctions and other legal enforcement action. Court experience and confidence presenting lower-level cases. Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience dealing with complex or sensitive cases. Experience working with local authorities, police, community safety partnerships and other agencies. A background in social housing or general-needs housing management. The ability to provide specialist advice and guidance to housing colleagues. Confidence attending challenging estate visits and dealing professionally with residents. Excellent communication, organisation and case management skills. A full driving licence and ability to travel between local sites. What's on Offer? Initial 3-month temporary contract , with potential for extension/permanent opportunities depending on recruitment. 37 hours per week. Hybrid working alongside office and estate-based requirements.
