We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to provide additional support on a Retrofit and Capital Works Social Housing refurbishment contract across the Grimsby area. This is a temporary opportunity, offering mileage paid and temporary employee benefits. You will join an established property services team delivering retrofit and capital works projects within social housing.

The role involves operational site management across a range of retrofit and refurbishment projects, leading directly employed and subcontracted construction and trade teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. Experience with air source heat pumps, solar PV and ventilation systems will be particularly relevant to this position.

We welcome applications from Site Managers, Senior Site Managers, Construction Site Managers, Retrofit Site Managers, Capital Works Site Managers and Construction Managers with strong retrofit, planned works or refurbishment experience and a background in social housing or residential construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of retrofit, capital works and refurbishment projects
  • Lead and manage directly employed and subcontracted construction and trade teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and on programme
  • Oversee retrofit and construction works across the Grimsby area
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are strictly followed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Health & Safety records
  • Ensure employees, subcontractors and visitors are appropriately inducted
  • Monitor the quality and specification of works being completed on site
  • Ensure environmental and waste management procedures are followed
  • Organise regular site meetings and coordinate site activities
  • Plan and manage labour, materials and other site resources effectively
  • Motivate, support and manage site staff, providing training, coaching and guidance where required
  • Maintain high standards of site presentation
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders
  • Ensure company procedures and customer satisfaction standards are consistently maintained

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, retrofit or refurbishment
  • Strong experience delivering retrofit, planned works or refurbishment projects
  • Knowledge of air source heat pumps, solar PV and ventilation systems
  • Experience managing directly employed and subcontracted construction/refurbishment teams
  • Minimum Level 4 qualification, such as NVQ4 or HNC, or equivalent experience
  • SMSTS
  • Scaffold inspection qualification/experience
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Asbestos Awareness qualification; Duty to Manage experience would be desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working within social housing is desirable
  • Experience working in live, occupied or void properties is desirable
