Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier programme, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.Please visit our website: Job DescriptionTurner & Townsend are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to support estate-wide fire safety management and asset assurance activities across both fissile and non-fissile environments.Estate Management – Fire Safety SupportProvide fire safety support for estate management activities, including small works across fissile and non-fissile sitesReview proposed works to ensure fire safety considerations are appropriately addressed and integratedAdvise on fire safety implications of estate changes, refurbishments and maintenance activitiesSupport project teams in delivering compliant and risk-appropriate fire safety solutionsFire Asset Review and AssuranceUndertake detailed reviews of fire safety assets including:Fire dampersSprinkler systemFire detection and alarm systems (including VESDA)CompartmentationFire doors and passive fire protection measuresAssess condition, performance and compliance of fire safety systems across the estateIdentify deficiencies, risks and required remedial actionsStandards and Specification DevelopmentSupport the development of site-wide fire safety standards and specificationsContribute to consistency and best practice in fire asset management across the estateProvide technical input into policies, procedures and guidance documentsStakeholder Engagement and ReportingEngage with estate teams, project stakeholders and technical specialistsProduce clear reports outlining findings, risks and recommended actionsSupport prioritisation of remedial works based on risk and operational impactQualificationsLevel 4 Diploma (or equivalent) in a fire-related disciplineMembership of a recognised professional body (e.G. Institute of Fire Engineers or Institute of Fire Safety Managers)In-depth knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Approved Document B, and BS 9999Experience applying best practice approaches to fire safety in operational environmentsFamiliarity with Eurocodes, British Standards, Codes of Practice and guidance documentsAbility to advise on practical and proportionate fire safety solutionsStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsProven ability to influence and engage across a business and multidisciplinary teamsDegree in Fire Engineering or a related subjectFamiliarity with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions and associated regulatory frameworksAdditional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
