We are recruiting a Repairs Surveyor to join a respected social housing group in Northampton on a temporary 3-month contract. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing responsive repairs, carrying out property inspections, preparing specifications of work, and overseeing contractors to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard. You will also support the delivery of occasional disrepair cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and providing an excellent service to residents. Repairs Surveyor key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out pre- and post-inspections of responsive repairs across the housing stock
- Diagnosing building defects and preparing detailed specifications of work
- Managing contractor performance to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Handling occasional disrepair cases, carrying out inspections, and supporting the resolution process
- Ensuring all works comply with health and safety legislation, housing standards, and organisational policies
