We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join a specialist two-person team delivering pond and water feature construction projects across the UK. This is an ongoing temporary role offering regular work, paid travel time, accommodation when working away, and the opportunity to be involved in unique landscaping and construction projects.
The role involves travelling to sites across the UK, typically working away Monday to Friday and returning home at weekends. Candidates must be comfortable staying away during the week and working outdoors in a hands-on construction environment.
- Set out work areas and build projects from technical drawings
- Undertake general groundworks and site preparation
- Install pond liners and associated construction components
- Place stone, rock, and boulder features as part of the final build
- Pour concrete footings and bases as required
- Operate site equipment including diggers, dumpers, hole borers, and laser levels
Previous groundworks, landscaping, or construction experience is required, along with:
- Experience driving diggers and dumpers
- A willingness to travel nationwide and stay away Monday to Friday
- A full UK driving licence
£20 per hour, company van and fuel card, £25 per night food allowance when working away, accommodation provided with private room, kitchen facilities, and parking, company vehicle available for site travel, ongoing temporary work with projects typically lasting several weeks, and the opportunity to develop specialist skills within a niche construction sector.
