12-month Fixed-Term Contract Financial Ledger Officer
Are you an experienced finance professional with excellent attention to detail and strong ledger experience? This opportunity offers the chance to join a busy Finance team, supporting accurate financial processing, reconciliations and excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. In this Financial Ledger position, you will be:
- Maintaining accurate financial records and nominal coding
- Completing daily bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders and credit notes
- Supporting weekly payment runs and month-end processes
- Managing supplier and customer accounts and Direct Debits
- Completing aged debtor, creditor and supplier statement reconciliations
- Using Excel to analyse and reconcile financial information
- Managing finance queries and resolving payment issues
- Maintaining petty cash and processing credit card transactions
- Handling confidential financial information appropriately
- Supporting the wider Finance team with ad-hoc duties
I’d love to speak to someone who has:
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent technical knowledge
- Previous finance or accounts experience
- A good understanding of accounting principles
- Strong numerical, analytical and reconciliation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with finance systems, ideally Clear Books and Sage Intacct
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Social housing or housing association experience would be desirable
