We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Neighbourhood Services Manager to join a large and high-performing housing organisation on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing a large-scale housing management service covering approximately 16,000 properties. The successful candidate will play a key role in stabilising services, driving performance, and ensuring excellent neighbourhood and tenancy management outcomes. The successful Neighbourhood Services Manager will receive support and onboarding from the Head of Neighbourhood Services to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
Key Responsibilities of a Neighbourhood Services Manager:
- Lead and manage a high-demand neighbourhood housing management service.
- Drive service improvement, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership across neighbourhood management and anti-social behaviour (ASB) services.
- Ensure effective tenancy management and neighbourhood standards are maintained.
- Monitor team performance, service delivery targets, and operational outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality housing services.
Team Management
Direct responsibility for:
- 5 Neighbourhood Team Leaders
- 31.5 FTE Neighbourhood Officers
- 5 Safer Neighbourhood Officers
- 4 Neighbourhood Assistants
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience within housing management.
- Proven success leading large operational housing teams.
- Strong expertise in neighbourhood management and ASB casework.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and performance management skills.
- The ability to quickly assess, stabilise, and improve services in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Essential Criteria:
- Must live within a commutable distance of Coventry.
- Able to attend the office 2-3 days per week.
- Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred.
