We are recruiting for a Housing Officer to join a well-established housing provider on a permanent basis.

This is a hybrid working role, managing a housing patch across

Telford .

You'll be responsible for delivering a full range of tenancy management services, supporting residents, maintaining sustainable tenancies, and ensuring excellent customer service across your patch.

The area benefits from very low levels of anti-social behaviour (ASB) , allowing you to focus on proactive tenancy management and building positive relationships with residents.

Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer

  • Managing a designated housing patch and providing a high-quality tenancy management service.
  • Carrying out tenancy visits, sign-ups, and end-of-tenancy processes.
  • Supporting residents to sustain their tenancies and resolve tenancy-related issues.
  • Managing low-level ASB cases and neighbour disputes where required.
  • Investigating tenancy breaches and taking appropriate action.
  • Working with internal departments and external agencies to support residents.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating housing management systems.
  • Delivering a customer-focused service while meeting performance targets.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Housing Officer or Tenancy Management role.
  • A good understanding of tenancy management legislation and housing best practice.
  • Experience of managing ASB cases, although the caseload is expected to be minimal.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
