We are currently recruiting for a Housing Administrator to join a large, community-focused housing provider based in Plymouth.
This is a great opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual looking to develop their housing administration experience.
The role will initially be office-based in Plymouth while training is completed, before moving to a flexible hybrid arrangement, typically with three days working from home and two days in the office, subject to team requirements.
You will provide day-to-day administrative and customer service support to the Housing Choices team, assisting with the administration of mutual exchanges and ensuring residents are kept informed throughout the process.
Key responsibilities include
Monitoring and managing the mutual exchange inbox.
Responding to resident enquiries by telephone and email.
Keeping residents updated on the progress of their mutual exchange.
Coordinating appointments between residents and property inspectors.
Submitting requests for property inspections, gas safety checks and electrical safety checks.
Liaising with residents, inspectors and internal teams.
Preparing deed of assignment paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date administrative records.
Supporting the wider Housing Choices team with general administration.
About You Strong administration and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicating with customers by telephone and email.
Comfortable using IT systems and able to learn new software quickly.
Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively with limited supervision.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Organised and confident coordinating appointments, documentation and processes.
Previous housing or mutual exchange experience is desirable but not essential.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Initial 3-month temporary contract, with potential for extension.
Office-based training in Plymouth initially, moving to flexible hybrid working thereafter.
