Are you a qualified Plumber looking for a permanent role with a company vehicle, fuel card, excellent holiday allowance and long-term career stability? We are working with Mountjoy to recruit a skilled Plumber to join their growing team supporting the University of Southampton's residential halls and estates. This is an excellent opportunity for a Plumber with experience in both domestic and commercial maintenance to work within a supportive and professional environment delivering reactive repairs, planned maintenance and project work across occupied and vacant accommodation.

The successful Plumber will benefit from a company van, fuel card, generous annual leave and ongoing support within a well-established maintenance contractor.

Plumber duties:
  • Carrying out domestic and commercial plumbing repairs
  • Completing reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance works
  • Installing and repairing sanitary ware
  • First and second fix pipework
  • Working on unvented systems
  • Diagnosing and rectifying plumbing faults
  • Responding to emergency repair requests
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Using PDA or mobile systems to manage workloads effectively
  • Participating in the out of hours call out rota
What is required for the Plumber role:
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • 5 years experience within building maintenance environments
  • Experience working within domestic and commercial properties
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to pass a Basic DBS check
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
