We are working with a well-established social housing provider who are looking to appoint a Damp & Mould Surveyor to support their team on a temporary basis in Oxford. This role will focus on the inspection, diagnosis and resolution of damp, mould and disrepair issues across occupied homes.
This Damp & Mould Surveyor role is offering:
- £300 per day.
- Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension.
- Full-time working hours.
- Oxford and surrounding areas.
- Opportunity to support a high-priority service area within social housing.
Key duties of the successful Damp & Mould Surveyor:
- Carrying out property inspections relating to damp, mould and condensation.
- Identifying root causes using appropriate building pathology and testing methods.
- Producing clear reports, schedules of works and remedial specifications.
- Supporting disrepair cases and complaint investigations.
- Liaising with contractors to ensure remedial works are completed to standard and within agreed timescales.
- Providing clear technical advice to internal teams and residents.
Skills and experience required for the Damp & Mould Surveyor position:
- Proven experience inspecting and diagnosing damp, mould and building defects.
- Good understanding of building pathology and remedial solutions.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports.
- Experience working within social housing or a similar environment.
