A leading multidisciplinary building safety consultancy is seeking an ambitious Senior Façade Engineering Manager to lead its growing technical division. With a strong pipeline of complex remediation, façade and structural projects across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business at the forefront of building safety and technical consultancy.

As a Façade Engineering Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across a multidisciplinary team of façade specialists, structural engineers, consultants, graduates and CAD/Revit technicians. You'll oversee the successful delivery of projects spanning residential, commercial, healthcare, education and public sector developments while helping shape technical standards and drive best practice.

The Role: This is a senior leadership position combining technical expertise, project delivery, commercial awareness and team development. You'll lead façade and structural services from investigation through to remediation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the latest legislation and industry standards.

Working alongside fire engineers, architects, contractors and Principal Designers, you'll play a key role in delivering Building Safety Act compliance, façade remediation programmes and innovative technical solutions on high-profile projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary façade and structural teams across multiple UK projects.
  • Oversee façade investigations, structural assessments, remediation schemes and external wall system projects.
  • Provide technical expertise across curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, masonry façades, balconies, roofing interfaces, windows, doors and external insulation systems.
  • Support compliance with the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, Gateway processes and Building Regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with fire engineers on fire strategies, compartmentation and passive fire protection.
  • Review structural calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
  • Mentor engineers, develop technical standards and support professional development across the team.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth and commercial success.

About You: You'll already have significant experience within façade and/or structural disciplines and be confident leading technical teams while managing complex projects.

You’ll ideally have experience in:

  • Façade and structural design
  • Building remediation and existing buildings
  • Cladding remediation and external wall systems
  • PAS 9980, Building Regulations and Approved Document B
  • Structural calculations and technical reporting
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Client-facing consultancy and commercial project delivery

Chartered status, or working towards Chartership with a recognised professional institution, would be advantageous but is not essential.
