A respected social housing group is seeking a Property Officer for a temporary interim contract based across North Northamptonshire, initially for a minimum of 3 months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation supporting vital housing services.

The Property Officer role offers straightforward, hands-on work inspecting void properties to ensure homes are safe, secure, and ready for re-let, while working within a supportive housing team.

As a Property Officer, you will be:

  • Inspecting void properties to check for abuse, vandalism, fly-tipping, or unauthorised occupation.
  • Reporting any issues, damage, or health and safety concerns in a clear and timely manner.
  • Completing basic inspection reports and updating internal systems.
  • Liaising with housing and repairs teams to flag follow-on actions.
  • Covering properties across the North Northamptonshire region during scheduled shifts.

  • Previous experience working as a Property Officer or in a similar housing, estates, or inspection-based role.
  • A good eye for detail and the ability to spot issues within vacant properties.
  • Confidence working independently and managing a daily inspection route.

This role offers:

  • Working hours of 12:00pm - 5:00pm, 5 days per week.
