We are recruiting an Interim Contract Manager for a leading Social Housing provider based in the West Midlands, supporting programmes across the local region on a 4-month contract. As an Interim Contract Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and managing contractor relationships and high quality budget conscious work.
Whats on offer:
- Rate: £30-£35 per hour
- Contract: 4-month interim assignment (potential for extension)
- Working pattern: Full-time (36 hours)
- Flexibility: Monday-Thursday on site and in office, Friday work from home
About the Company
Our client is a well-established Social Housing group managing a portfolio of residential properties across the West Midlands and the surrounding areas. They are committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and delivering excellent services to their tenants and communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead on all reactive maintenance issues, ensuring swift, cost-effective solutions
- Lead on regulatory standards, compliancy and health and safety responsibilities
- Build strong, lasting relationships with scheme-based staff, partners and tenants as their trusted senior point of contact
- Ensure all properties comply with health & safety and legal obligations
- Manage contractor relationships, maintaining high-quality, budget-conscious work
- Oversee effective and efficient void works to reduce void periods and ensure our ready-to-let standard is maintained
- Drive process improvements, draft and review key policies, helping refine and elevate service delivery
- Provide reports on activity, progress and compliance of repairs, maintenance and health and safety against key performance indicators
The successful Contract Manager will have:
- Strong experience within repairs, voids, planned works etc
- Is confident working with external contractors and maintaining relationships
- Can assess risk, challenge appropriately and provide assurance to senior stakeholders
- Cares about resident experience and understands the importance of quality homes
- Social housing experience
- Similar experience in previous post
