We are recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing provider in Manchester for an experienced Complex Needs Support Worker. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting adults experiencing homelessness, housing difficulties and multiple complex needs. The RoleYou will provide person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed support to residents living in supported accommodation. Your responsibilities as a Complex Needs Support Worker will include: Building positive and trusting relationships with residents. Completing needs and risk assessments. Creating and reviewing personalised support plans. Supporting residents with homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, financial difficulties and other complex needs. Helping residents develop independence, confidence and practical life skills. Supporting residents to access benefits, healthcare, housing and other services. Providing housing advice and helping residents move towards suitable long-term accommodation. Working with local authorities, health services and other agencies. Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Maintaining accurate records and monitoring residents' progress. Supporting residents to engage with their local community and achieve their goals.About You: Previous experience supporting adults with complex needs. Experience in supported housing, homelessness, social care or a similar setting. Knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, homelessness and safeguarding. Experience completing assessments and developing support plans. A person-centred and non-judgemental approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally. Experience working with other agencies and professionals. Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits is desirable.
