As a FSC Ranger, you'll play a key role in maintaining safe, clean and welcoming residential buildings in Birmingham, helping tenants feel proud of where they live every day. This opportunity is with a well-respected housing provider that puts tenants at the heart of everything it does. Working across three residential buildings in Birmingham City Centre, you'll join a supportive Neighbourhood Services team and enjoy a varied, hands-on role where you can make a visible difference to people's lives.
As a FSC Ranger, you will be:
- Carrying out scheduled building safety checks and inspections
- Removing rubbish, hazards and waste from communal areas
- Completing minor repairs, maintenance tasks, cleaning and gardening duties
- Monitoring communal areas to ensure they remain safe, clean and welcoming
- Supporting tenants with advice on waste disposal and safe storage
- Working closely with environmental contractors to maintain service standards
- Reporting and tracking communal repairs
- Supporting continuous service improvement across the buildings
- Working collaboratively with Team Leaders and the wider Neighbourhood Services team

- Experience delivering excellent customer service
- Experience in cleaning, maintenance, grounds maintenance, caretaking or similar practical roles
- Confidence working with tenants, contractors and colleagues
- Experience carrying out safety checks and following procedures
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively
- Basic IT skills for recording inspections and updates
- A full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of health and safety, COSHH and safe working practices, or a willingness to learn
- Experience within housing, maintenance or construction environments would be beneficial
This FSC Ranger role is offering the following benefits: Monday to Friday working pattern with no evenings or weekends, 25 days annual leave plus.
