We are recruiting on behalf of a supported accommodation provider working with vulnerable young people. This is a front line Housing Officer role focused on tenant engagement, property standards, health & safety compliance, and anti-social behaviour management. This role suits a proactive housing professional who enjoys working in the community, maintaining high property standards, and building positive, professional relationships with residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer:
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure homes meet required standards
- Identify and report maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and health & safety risks
- Complete property checkāins, checkāouts, inventories, and property turnarounds
- Build positive relationships with residents and support them to maintain their accommodation
- Investigate and manage reports of antiāsocial behaviour, implementing action plans
- Work collaboratively with landlords, local authorities, contractors, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records, inspection schedules, and written correspondence
- Escalate safeguarding, compliance, or property concerns in line with policy
What We'd Love To See From You As A Housing Officer:
- Previous experience in a housing officer, property management, or housingārelated role
- Handsāon experience conducting property inspections, identifying maintenance issues, and monitoring property standards
- Experience working directly with tenants or residents, providing clear guidance and managing expectations
- Working knowledge of health & safety requirements within residential properties
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Strong IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fieldābased role
- Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable young people
Hours & Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Business mileage reimbursed
