We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing housing provider for a newly created Head of Supported Housing role, leading specialist supported accommodation services for women affected by domestic abuse.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced supported housing professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services and improving outcomes for people facing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
Reporting at senior level, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across supported housing services, initially focusing on the organisation's Manchester provision, with responsibility for supporting the future growth of its Liverpool service.
You will directly manage the Supported Housing Manager and have accountability for service quality, safeguarding, performance, compliance, partnerships and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities of a Head of Supported Housing
- Provide strong leadership and operational oversight across supported housing services.
- Lead and develop the Manchester service, with future oversight of Liverpool as it expands.
- Manage, coach and support service management teams to deliver excellent outcomes.
- Maintain robust safeguarding, risk, support planning and compliance frameworks.
- Develop effective relationships with local authorities, commissioners and partner organisations.
- Drive service improvement, performance management and contractual delivery.
- Support the mobilisation and growth of new supported accommodation services.
- Champion trauma-informed, strengths-based and psychologically informed approaches.
- Contribute to organisational strategy, growth and social impact objectives.
- Ensure residents' voices and lived experience inform service development.
About You
You will be an experienced senior manager within supported housing, ideally with a background supporting women affected by domestic abuse, homelessness or multiple disadvantage.

- Strong knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding, risk and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing managers and complex services.
- Strong partnership-working skills with commissioners, local authorities and external agencies.
