Housing Officer (ASB)
Location: Hybrid – Covering Rugby, Northampton, East Northampton, Market Harborough, Blaby, Nuneaton & Bedworth.
Office base: Birmingham
Rate: £24 – £26 per hour (via umbrella)
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm)
Contract: 2-month temporary contract (strong potential for extension)
Driving: Full UK driving licence required
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Housing Officer (ASB) to join a Housing association on a temporary basis.
This is a hands-on Housing Officer role focused on managing complex anti-social behaviour and safeguarding cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working directly with tenants in general needs housing, particularly in their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a frontline Housing Officer, managing a high-level ASB and safeguarding caseload
- Conduct tenancy audits, investigations, and home visits across the assigned patches
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and internal teams to resolve cases
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and housing policies
- Deliver a trauma-informed and customer-focused approach to tenancy management
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a Housing Officer role with a strong ASB and safeguarding background
- Ability to work independently, managing a complex and varied caseload
- Experience with Northgate (NEC) is highly desirable
- Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Those with limited support or advisory housing experience will not be suitable
