We are recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing provider for an experienced ASB Officer to deliver a proactive, customer-focused service across a defined locality.
The role will focus on tackling complex and persistent anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and neighbourhood issues, working closely with customers, colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes and improve communities.
Key Responsibilities of an ASB Officer
- Manage complex ASB, tenancy breaches, non-access and fraud cases, using proportionate interventions and enforcement where appropriate.
- Provide a proactive and customer-focused service, working to resolve persistent ASB and support positive tenancy outcomes.
- Prepare and progress legal cases, including notices, court papers and witness statements, and represent the organisation at court where required.
- Build strong relationships with customers, local communities and partner agencies to resolve complex cases effectively.
- Maintain accurate case records and high-quality data, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and organisational policies.
- Identify emerging neighbourhood issues and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions and improve community safety.
- Contribute to service improvements, customer satisfaction and locality performance targets.
About You
- Proven experience managing complex ASB cases, ideally within a social housing environment.
- Strong knowledge of tenancy management, ASB legislation, enforcement and legal processes.
- Experience preparing legal documentation and representing an organisation at court.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and partnership-working skills.
- A confident and empathetic approach to managing challenging situations and supporting customers.
- Experience working with external agencies, including police, local authorities and support services.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied and complex caseload.
- Good IT and data management skills, including Microsoft Office.
