We are working with a growing organisation providing Supported Housing and accommodation-based services across the UK, who are looking for an experienced Director of Supported Accommodation to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of their schemes nationwide. £85,000 – £90,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance | Fully Remote | UK-wide Travel This is a senior operational role focused on making sure schemes are running safely, effectively and consistently, while providing strong leadership to the teams delivering support to residents. You’ll oversee a large portfolio of schemes across the country and lead the operational teams responsible for delivering services, including Housing Support Officers and Heads of Supported Housing. The RoleYou’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of supported accommodation schemes across the UK, making sure they have the right staffing, processes and support in place. A key part of the role will be managing and developing the Housing Support Officer teams, ensuring they have clear expectations, the right support and are delivering consistently across their schemes. You’ll regularly travel across the UK to visit schemes, meet with teams, understand what is happening on the ground and deal with any operational issues that need addressing. You’ll be the senior operational point of contact, making sure issues are identified quickly and followed through to resolution. Key Responsibilities: Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of Supported Accommodation schemes across the UK. Lead and develop Heads of Supported Housing and Housing Support Officer teams. Ensure schemes are appropriately staffed and operating effectively. Regularly visit schemes across the country to understand performance and address operational issues. Set clear expectations around service delivery, resident support and operational standards. Monitor the performance of Housing Support Officers and wider operational teams. Identify and resolve issues affecting the day-to-day running of schemes. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, compliance and operational requirements are managed effectively. Make sure concerns raised by residents, staff or other teams are followed up and resolved. Put consistent processes and ways of working in place across different schemes. Monitor KPIs, performance and service quality across the portfolio. Work closely with property, compliance and other internal teams to resolve issues affecting schemes. Lead continuous improvement across the operational service. Provide regular updates and reporting to the wider senior leadership team.About YouWe’re looking for someone with strong operational leadership experience within Supported Housing, Social Housing or accommodation-based services. You’ll ideally have experience managing multiple schemes across different locations, along with teams of Housing Support Officers, Housing Managers or similar frontline staff. You’ll be someone who is comfortable getting out to schemes, speaking to teams, understanding the issues on the ground and making sure things get done. You’ll need: Significant experience managing Supported Housing or accommodation-based services. Experience leading geographically dispersed teams. Strong experience managing frontline housing/support staff. Experience overseeing multiple schemes across different locations. A strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, health and safety and resident support. The ability to deal with operational issues quickly and make clear decisions. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent organisation and communication skills.
