We are currently looking for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to work across the Chesterfield area for a well-established social housing contractor. This is a long-term opportunity working on maintenance works within void social housing properties.
We’re looking for experienced Multi-Trade Operatives with a strong background in social housing repairs and voids, property maintenance, refurbishment or reactive maintenance.
As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be:
- Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
- Completing carpentry and plumbing repairs, kitchen and bathroom repairs and general multi-trade works
- Undertaking additional trades including plastering, tiling, carpentry and decorating where skilled
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard
- Working professionally within tenants’ homes
- Managing your own workload and completing jobs efficiently
- Completing electronic paperwork and following health and safety procedures
We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in social housing repairs or property maintenance
- Strong carpentry and multi-trade skills
- Experience in plastering, tiling, plumbing or decorating is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS may be required in the future
- No formal trade qualifications required – practical experience is key
In return, the Multi Trade Operative will receive:
- £23 per hour
- Weekly pay (CIS payments available)
- Fuel allowance
- 5 days per week
- Long-term ongoing work Monday to Friday
- Immediate start available
- Regular workload with an established contractor
