As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be:
- Removing and disposing of green waste safely and efficiently
- Carrying out grass cutting across estates and communal areas using a range of equipment
- Reducing, trimming, and maintaining hedges, bushes, and shrubs
- Using strimmers and powered tools to maintain borders, edges, and hard-to-reach areas
- Carrying out weed control using approved methods
- Completing seasonal planting and general landscape maintenance
- Undertaking litter picking and general estate tidying duties
- Supporting the upkeep of paved and slabbed areas through light repairs, sweeping, and maintenance
I'd love to speak to anyone who has:
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Previous experience within grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or estate services
- Experience using grounds maintenance equipment and powered tools
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable qualifications:
- Banksman training
- PA1 & PA6 spraying licence
- Trailer licence
The Grounds Maintenance Operative role is offering the following benefits:
- Weekly pay
- Temp-to-perm opportunity
- Full-time hours, 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 3:30pm and Friday 7:30am – 3:00pm
- Long-term career prospects with a well-established employer
This role is offering £17.20 per hour.
Location & travel: Based in Birmingham, this role is easily accessible from surrounding areas including Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Coleshill, Coventry, and Tamworth. The area benefits from excellent transport links via the M6, M42, A45, and A446, making travel to and from work straightforward.
