I am looking for a Building Surveyor who specialises in Planned Maintenance to join a main contractor in the West Midlands. The Building Surveyor will be responsible for all pre and post inspection on planned maintenance works. This role offers 1 day of office working per week. This post covers stock all across the West Midlands. The successful applicant will be required to travel between these areas.

Building Surveyor duties:

  • Survey Homes to client requirements including establishing and confirming residents' requirements/choices
  • Co-ordinate surveying activity and liaise with Client team and residents to arrange access to properties for survey
  • Survey all work in accordance with client specification and brief, plus any additional requirement set out by the management team
  • Ensure, through the project team, that information in respect of the scope of works etc, and arising from surveys, is conveyed accurately and on time to quantity surveyors, production team and resident liaison team
  • Record any significant items that are over and above the scope of works, for discussion with the client team
  • Create condition report of key building components/stock data for Clients that may generate additional work
