We are recruiting for an experienced Healthy Homes Asbestos Surveyor to join a leading Social Housing provider based in Bristol on a permanent basis. What’s on offer: Salary: Up to £43,651.61 per annum (depending on experience) Contract: Permanent Working pattern: Full-time, 35 hours per week Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 Working arrangement: Site-based, Whitehall About the Company Our client is a well-established organisation committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and excellent services to its residents. They are looking for an experienced Healthy Homes Surveyor to join their Asset Management team and play a key role in ensuring homes are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Work closely with in-house repairs teams and external contractors to ensure works are delivered to the required standard and within agreed timescales. Provide technical specifications, instruction and oversight for remedial works. Monitor completed works and ensure issues are resolved sustainably and do not reoccur. Act as the technical lead for complex property condition complaints and provide specialist input into complaint responses and Ombudsman enquiries. Maintain accurate records, evidence and audit trails to support legal, regulatory and organisational compliance. Ensure practices align with HHSRS, the Decent Homes Standard and Awaab’s Law. The successful Healthy Homes Surveyor will have: Experience working within social housing, housing management, property management or a similar environment. Strong knowledge and practical experience of HHSRS assessments, Asbestos knowledge and housing hazards. Experience managing damp, mould and condensation cases, including complex or high-risk cases. Strong understanding of building pathology, property defects and remedial solutions. Good knowledge of the Decent Homes Standard and housing legislation.. Experience or knowledge of asbestos management/compliance would be highly desirable. A Level 4 qualification in Housing, Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
