Electrical Project Manager required for a growing electrical contractor delivering commercial, retail, and industrial projects across the region. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful planning, coordination, commercial management, and delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to final handover. The Electrical Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Manager:

  • Lead early-stage project engagement and attend client and design meetings
  • Carry out site surveys and produce detailed project reports
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Assist with tender submissions and cost planning
  • Identify technical risks, programme constraints, and commercial considerations
  • Plan and manage electrical works from project start through to completion
  • Coordinate multiple electrical projects simultaneously
  • Manage site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where required
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and programme targets are achieved
  • Chair site meetings and provide clear progress updates
  • Maintain financial control including forecasting and cost tracking
  • Manage project variations including pricing and client agreement
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value
  • Oversee labour planning and resource allocation
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with current regulations and legislation
  • Review RAMS and enforce health and safety standards
  • Manage snagging, quality inspections, and final handovers
  • Ensure certification and O&M documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Support and lead both office-based and site-based teams

Requirements for the Electrical Project Manager:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
  • Strong working knowledge of BS7671 and current electrical regulations
  • Previous experience managing multiple electrical projects
  • Valid CSCS Manager or Professionally Qualified Person card
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience:

  • SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Experience within commercial, retail, or industrial electrical projects
  • Knowledge of MS Project and commercial tracking software
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment
