Take on an ongoing contract role with consistent Monday to Friday work and mileage payments as a Gas Engineer, carrying out domestic gas works across social housing properties in South Birmingham and Worcester. You’ll be working across bathroom, wetroom and kitchen programmes, with jobs allocated as close to home as possible. This is an ongoing opportunity offering a steady workload and working hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
As a Gas Engineer, you will be:
- Moving, capping and uncapping gas supplies
- Moving radiators as part of bathroom, wetroom and kitchen works
- Servicing and relocating boilers where required
- Completing a range of domestic gas works within social housing properties
- Working safely within occupied and void properties
I’d love to speak to anyone who has:
- Full domestic ACS qualifications – cookers and fires are preferred but not essential
- A valid Blue or Gold skills card, or relevant JIB equivalent
- Their own van
- Strong domestic gas experience rather than plumbing-only experience
- Previous social housing experience preferred, although other suitable domestic backgrounds will be considered
The Gas Engineer role is offering:

- 40p per mile after the first 20 miles
- Ongoing, consistent work Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

This Gas Engineer position covers South Birmingham and the surrounding Worcester area. Jobs will be allocated with the aim of keeping travel as local to home as possible. Interviews are held on Thursdays in Wolverhampton, with Teams interviews available for candidates based further afield. Successful candidates will need to complete the required subcontractor and compliance documentation before starting, with support available for outstanding training requirements.
