We are working with a well-established social housing provider who are looking to appoint a Damp & Mould Surveyor to support their team on a temporary basis in Oxford. This role will focus on the inspection, diagnosis and resolution of damp, mould and disrepair issues across occupied homes.

This Damp & Mould Surveyor role is offering:

  • £300 per day.
  • Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension.
  • Full-time working hours.
  • Oxford and surrounding areas.
  • Opportunity to support a high-priority service area within social housing.

Key duties of the successful Damp & Mould Surveyor:

  • Carrying out property inspections relating to damp, mould and condensation.
  • Identifying root causes using appropriate building pathology and testing methods.
  • Producing clear reports, schedules of works and remedial specifications.
  • Supporting disrepair cases and complaint investigations.
  • Liaising with contractors to ensure remedial works are completed to standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Providing clear technical advice to internal teams and residents.

Skills and experience required for the Damp & Mould Surveyor position:

  • Proven experience inspecting and diagnosing damp, mould and building defects.
  • Good understanding of building pathology and remedial solutions.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports.
  • Experience working within social housing or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a resident-focused approach.

Requirements:

  • Relevant surveying, building or construction background or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working on disrepair-focused cases.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
