We are recruiting for a Property Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Gloucestershire, supporting property services across the local region on a permanent basis. As a Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of surveying services across housing stock, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, compliant with regulations, and fit for purpose. Key responsibilities
- Carry out responsive repair maintenance inspections, including pre‑inspection prior to ordering and prepare written defect sheets and general information.
- Prepare schedules, quantities, costs including use of NHF Schedule of rates where required and resolve contractor performance issues.
- Carry out a minimum of 10% post‑inspections, monitoring the quality and quantity of work claimed on completion, together with compliance with contract specifications and service standards by contractors.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other customer‑facing teams to ensure jobs are raised and completed efficiently and satisfactorily.
- Assist in advising the Repairs Manager of any problems, difficulties or issues affecting the performance of a contract or contractor, requiring escalation as appropriate.
- Manage disrepair cases/projects assigned by the Repairs Manager, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are adhered to, and that properties are returned and maintained to the required standard and quality.
