Multi-Trade Operative – Taunton
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Pay: £22.00 – £23.00 per hour
Contract: 6-month fixed term

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join a Building Repairs & Maintenance team based in Taunton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to move into a permanent position at the end of the contract.
The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance works across properties in Taunton and the surrounding area.
We are looking for someone with a qualified trade background in either Carpentry or Plumbing, who is also confident undertaking general multi-trade repairs.
Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building repairs and maintenance.
  • Complete repairs within properties and customers' homes.
  • Undertake works within your core trade of Carpentry or Plumbing.
  • Carry out general multi-trade duties as required.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
  • Work safely and professionally at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

About You

  • Recognised qualification in Carpentry or Plumbing.
  • Previous experience in building repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong multi-trade skills.
  • Able to successfully complete a DBS check.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage a varied workload.
