Technical / Systems Trainer β Manufacturing Transformation
12-Month Contract | Β£300 per day | Inside IR35
A leading automotive organisation is going through a major transformation in how its manufacturing teams manage equipment and materials, including the rollout of a new SAP PM system.
Weβre looking for an experienced Technical / Systems Trainer to support the programme, with a strong focus on Training Needs Analysis (TNA), learning material development, training planning and face-to-face classroom delivery.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed existing training materials to deliver. You'll be involved throughout the full training lifecycle β understanding what different user groups need to learn, creating the training approach and materials, and then delivering that learning directly to users across the business.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across different user groups and business areas
- Identify learning requirements, knowledge gaps and training audiences
- Develop structured training plans and learning pathways
- Create clear, practical training materials including presentations, user guides, process guides, exercises and supporting documentation
- Deliver face-to-face classroom and workshop-based training
- Support users through the adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working
- Develop e-learning content where appropriate to complement classroom training
- Work closely with project teams, SMEs and business stakeholders to ensure training reflects the real processes users will follow
- Gather feedback and continuously improve training content and delivery
What we're looking for
The key thing we're looking for is someone who can create learning and deliver it.
You'll ideally have experience of:
- Delivering face-to-face systems, technical or process training
- Owning or contributing to Training Needs Analysis
- Creating training plans and structured learning programmes
- Developing training materials from scratch
- Taking training from initial requirements through to delivery
- Working with SMEs and stakeholders to turn technical information into practical, easy-to-understand learning
- Supporting users through system or process change
Experience with tools such as Articulate 360, Rise or SAP Enable Now would be useful, but isn't essential.
Similarly, previous SAP or SAP PM experience would be beneficial but isn't a requirement. We're more interested in someone who understands the full training lifecycle and is comfortable standing in front of a room and delivering engaging, practical training.
This could suit someone from automotive, manufacturing, engineering, technology or another complex operational environment who has previously supported a major system or business transformation.
