We’re looking for a Shopify Developer to take technical ownership of our client’s eCommerce websites. In this role, you won’t just write great code — you’ll become the go-to expert for all things Shopify, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive user experience, performance, and ultimately, sales.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and manage all technical aspects of our Shopify eCommerce stores
- Build, extend, and maintain custom Shopify themes and apps
- Integrate and optimize third-party apps like Recharge, including using their APIs and webhooks
- Use tools like GA4, Hotjar, and A/B testing platforms to analyse user behaviour and implement UX improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business goals and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Audit, maintain, and continuously improve our existing Shopify infrastructure
- Participate in product planning and suggest areas for improvement and innovation
- Use Jira and Confluence to manage work and document solutions
You Should Have:
- 4+ years of experience working with Shopify development
- Solid understanding of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with Shopify theme structure and app ecosystem
- Experience using analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar) to drive data-informed UX improvements
- Ability to set up and manage A/B and multivariate testing
- Experience documenting business requirements and assessing feasibility
- Comfortable using version control (e.g. Git) and applying it to Shopify theme development
Nice to Have:
- Experience or interest in Python (our internal scripting language of choice)
- Familiarity with PHP, especially for supporting WordPress integrations
- Previous experience working in cross-functional teams with marketers, designers, and product managers
